Description

Fragment of linen from a male shroud. Roman Period, Early to mid 2nd century AD, Thebes. 700mm long. This is the bottom right of a shroud showing an Osiris figure wearing a bead net over a red garment and a decorated mantle that flares out to the sides. A bundle of lotuses emerges from the edge of the mantel.
