Description

Two faience scarab wings, each with three holes for suspension. The scarab is catalogued as AB9. Winged scarabs seem to date from the Twenty-sixth Dynasty and were sewn onto the bandages of a mummy. Such a winged scarab would be positioned just below the breastbone.
