Description

Flat glazed composition object, which is glazed blue on the inner and outer faces. The outer face depicts the rear part of an animal, most likely a sheep, which is moulded in raised relief. Possibly dating to the Ptolemaic Period. Presented to the Egypt Centre in 2022 by Sonja Gibbs, whose father David Gibbs (1908–1976) collected numerous objects during his travels in Egypt.
