Description

A model plough, hoe or ard, with modern restringing (see Brovarski, 1982, 46 for a similar example). Such items were used for the ritual of the breaking of the soil, but also in brick making. Small examples are carried by shabtis. It was likely purchased at auction by Wellcome from the Berens' sale in 1923
