Description

This object was previously identified as a rudder from a model boat. It is made of wood, with reddish-brown paint, and a design in black. It seems more likely to be a fan held by one of the squatting kitchen funerary figures, in an activity such as roasting a fowl, and fanning the fire in order to maintain the flames. Although we have several figures in this pose, it is impossible to identify with any certainty which of the figures, if any, this object was originally associated.
