Description

This figure has previously been described as representing the tekenu (a mysterious figure depicted in funerary rituals), but comparative pieces are usually representing the deceased, or their attendants on a funerary vessel, wrapped within a cloak. When multiple cloaked figures appear, they have been interpreted as representing the four Sons of Horus. Similar examples are found in Middle Kingdom Thebes.
