Description

A green faience scarab. The inscription is presumably Men-khepr-Re (Thutmose III), though the Re is missing. Additionally, the longitudinal hole does not go all the way through. Donated by Mrs Cox. This had belonged to her father, Edward Cox, who brought it from Egypt around 1903. He had been a valet for Lord Dynevor.
