A small marl clay wheel-made base of a jar. Buff fabric. The trimmed rim of ring base has some built up clay. The base was made separately from the vessel, and joined onto the vessel. Before firing the crown of concave was base pushed in to create a small convexity in the middle. Base broke off from the vessel at the joining point. Clear nail varnish on the top of the base.
