Small open-formed dish/bowl. Made from Nile Silt Clay. In the interior, burnt out chaff is present. It is a hand-made red slipped polished bowl. There are two black patches of colour on the interior, on and around the inside base. There is also white discoloration on the interior closer to the rim. Has a rounded base with a direct rim. The base has several deep cracks with the current catalogue placed on top. Has the current catalogue number typed in black onto white paper sealed with nail varnish, found on the base of the vessel. The previous catalogue number of 160 on a sticker placed mid-way on the exterior of the bowl. Purchased by Wellcome at auction in 1906 from the collection of Robert de Rustafjaell.
