Description

Wooden Hathor horns with sun disc. This is probably from the head of a wooden statue. The horns relate to Hathor's cow form which symbolises her nurturing qualities. The sun disc shows her relationship to the sun god Re. Although Hathor commonly wore such a headdress it was worn by other female deities, particularly Isis. 10cm high.
