- Description
-
Although this wooden funerary figure has been badly damaged by insects, and has lost both of its arms, it is still possible to make out the painted eyes, wig and white kilt. The Wellcome slip associated with this object mentions a linen kilt, which is no longer present. Stylistically this figure is likely to be a crew member of a model boat from Beni Hasan, dating to the early Middle Kingdom.
