Description

This wooden figure is likely from its position to be a rower from a model boat. Much of the gesso surface and paint are lost, but traces of one of the eyes, red paint of the skin and black for the hair are still visible. It is very similar to figures from Beni Hasan dating to the Middle Kingdom.
