This pottery jar, with a green surface, was purchased at auction by Wellcome from the Frankland Hood Collection in 1924. According to the sale catalogue, most of the items from the Hood collection were from Thebes. The sale catalogue suggests that this item was made in imitation of glass and that it is New Kingdom in date.
