Description

A grey stone cosmetic jar, that is early Eighteenth Dynasty in date. It was purchased by Wellcome at auction in 1922 from the property of Ralph Brocklebank. It is possibly from Garstang's excavations at Abydos. Such items would have been used for containing eye make-up.
