A fibre brush, bound together with plaited fibre. The old label associated with the object states '...Dyn. XVIII or later presented by The Egyptian Exploration Society'. Similar brushes are described and illustrated in Petrie, W.M.F. 1927. 'Objects of Daily Use' p 48, pl.XLII.179-184 as brushes for white-washing, mainly from Hawara, dating to the Roman Period.
