Description

A pale green wooden goose of Middle Kingdom date. This object may have been over-painted in modern times. There is a possible dowel in the middle of the back. A previous catalogue says this was found at Arab-el-birk. It was originally part of the MacGregor collection purchased by Wellcome in 1922. A very close parallel is in the Petrie (UC45821).
