Statue of a seated figure
A moulded purple glass statue of a seated figure. Glass making did not appear until the Eighteenth Dynasty in Egypt. An analysis of the glass by Paul Nicholson (Cardiff) and Caroline Jackson (Sheffield University) indicated that it was modern. It was purchased by Wellcome at auction in 1919.
