This is part of a fine flint bracelet, probably dating from the Predynastic Period to the Third Dynasty. A similar bracelet of the First Dynasty was found at Buto (Schmidt 1992). Such pieces are known from several sites and seem to be restricted to the Early Dynastic Period. A workshop of these artefacts is said to have been located in Wadi el-Sheikh. This item was a gift from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth.
