Description

A red glaze pottery vessel with a pointed base and black band on the rim (there are several chips on rim). It was excavated by John Garstang within tomb 886 at Beni Hasan and was purchased by Wellcome in 1922 from the collection of the Reverend William MacGregor, where it is dated to the Sixth Dynasty.
