Description

Fragment of linen from a male shroud. 140x430mm. Early to mid 2nd century AD from Thebes. This shows the chest area of an Osiris figure wearing a bead net over a red garement. The right hand of Osiris holds the bottom of a flail. The beginning of a column for inscription is visible but no hieroglyphs are preserved.
