Negative of Palestine. This photograph was taken by Sgt. Johnson of the 436 Welsh Field Company c. 1917. It formed part of a lecture which he gave. His notes read 'Monument erected to the memory of the soldiers of the 53rd Welsh Division who fell in action in the district of Jerusalem and Bireh Jan-March 1918'.
