Description

A wooden statue of a tomb owner, with both arms at the sides with fist clenched and thumbs pointing down which are typical features of a statue of the deceased during the Old Kingdom. The proportions and facial features are quite unusual and may indicate this figure as not being a genuine ancient Egyptian piece, but is similar to statuary dating to Twelfth Dynasty Asyut.
