Description

A copper alloy figure of a lioness-headed goddess, likely Sekhmet, wearing the solar-disc and uraeus. It is on long-term loan from the British Museum who acquired it in 1939 from Marion Whiteford Acworth, and was previously part of the collection of her husband Dr Joseph John Acworth.
