Description

A solid-cast copper alloy seated figure of Imhotep with an incised collar, and open papyrus roll across his knees bearing a hieroglyphic text. There is a tang at the rear of the hollow square plinth. It likely dates to the Late Period, and is on long-term loan from the British Museum.
